On 2, 3, and 4 September 2011, Switzerland will host its very first DrupalCommerceCamp in Lucerne. This 3-day event will present the application possibilities with Drupal for modern companies. This fresh and informative Drupal Camp is directed not only towards developers and users from the Drupal community, but also towards company owners, managers and project managers from agencies, media houses, NGOs and other businesses.

The association Drupal Events is responsible for the organisation of the Camp. We have won Lucerne University of Applied Sciences as our partner - where the event will take place. At Lucerne University we have access to several auditoriums which are fully equipped with the necessary technical infrastructure. There is canteen for those who wish to dine. In addition, there is the provision of an expansive lounge where exhibitors can present their Drupal services throughout the day.

What will be presented?

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, people from the Drupal User Group Switzerland, IT specialists and CMS users will present about various functions or special areas of the Drupal system. The focus topic which will guide the visitors in all of the sessions will be "Business Environment".

During the course of the three days, visitors will have the flexibility to design their individual programs with a choice between business focus presentations and workshops. At the same time, there will be ample opportunity available to network, to intensify relationships with contacts and to initiate new business opportunities.

The Camp begins at 09:00 and closes at 18:00. The expected 200 to 250 attendees, from various branches, will be able to choose on each day from several parallel running slots. There will be a minimum of 12 professional presentations and one Keynote each day to choose from - which enables the attendees to assemble their individual programs. Sessions are limited to a maximum of 45 minutes which will give the attendees an opportunity to ask questions. The slots will take place in different auditoriums and in the lounge.

Presentations will be in German and are designed mainly for entrepreneurs.

• What about the financial aspects, time-planning, resource management and functionality?

Business processes, increasing efficiency and other management concepts will be extensively discussed on Friday. An interaction between visitors and presenters is desired. The main focus is on online platforms which are innovative business models and ensured future online solutions and have been successfully implemented with Drupal. Let yourself to be inspired by these projects.

Saturday & Sunday

Presentations will be held in German or English and the topics will be a little more technical. The Drupal community meets and deals with issues such as:

• Which Drupal elements are necessary to achieve functionality X?
• With what code does one reach one’s goals?
• How do I create my own Drupal modules or themes?
• How do I make these available to others on the Web?
